For many years video tapes have
been the most widely used format for home entertainment and
family videos. As you
may know, over time these tapes significantly lose their quality
and can eventually become unusable. The only true way to
preserve these video memories is to transfer them to DVD, the
format that |

The Simple Facts. Let's
face it, your family video tapes will not last forever.
The life expectancy of the average video tape can be as short as
10-15 years. However, the loss of quality can begin within 5-7
years while just sitting on the shelf. During normal
operation, (playing, rewinding, forwarding, etc.) the tape is
directly contacted by the tape heads in your player. This
causes friction and gradually weakens or wears out the tape to
the point that it can no longer be used. In addition to
normal tensions placed on the tape with each use, the moving
parts in your VCR or camcorder are likely to malfunction and can
cause irreparable damage. Ouch! Don't let your
memories become VCR bait!
Saved by the DVD.
DVD stands for Digital Versatile
Disc meaning it offers a high-quality digital format with
versatility unmatched by any other media technology. With

the disc surface. This method rules out any possibility
of deterioration or potential loss of quality due to direct contact.
With the invention of DVD media also came many benefits like
higher quality video and audio, custom menus, scene selection, etc.
Compatibility you can trust.
We use only professional
grade DVD-R format DVDs that are compatible with any DVD
player. We also custom label your DVD by printing directly
onto the disc so you don't have to contend with playback problems
associated with stick-on labels. This compatibility makes it
very convenient to share your video with friends and family
no matter where you go. All you need is a DVD player and a TV
or monitor. It also works well with your portable DVD player or
computer!
Time to Transfer.
We transfer your old tape formats
(VHS and camcorder tapes) to DVD so you can safely view them with
your DVD player for years to come. Just submit your
non-copyrighted materials and family home videos you want to
preserve. We offer two transfer methods
–
the Basic transfer
(the most common) and the Custom transfer. The Basic transfer
produces an exact copy of the tape source you provide.
However, Custom transfers deliver more features like title
screens, a custom menu with scene selections, and visual and audio
corrections as necessary. For pricing
